It’s important to celebrate milestones often—whether it’s a project completed or a significant benchmark reached. But there’s something special about looking back over an entire year to see the bigger picture. As the year draws to a close, we wanted to take time to pause and reflect on everything our team has accomplished. From groundbreaking projects to community engagement, this past year has been a testament to our unwavering commitment to building relationships and structures that last a lifetime.

2024 Project Milestones

2024 has been a banner year for Crain Construction, with several standout projects showcasing the talent, dedication, and collaborative spirit of our team. Here are a few highlights:

1. Grand Opening of the BNA Hilton Hotel

In March, we celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the BNA Hilton, a 298-room, ten-story hotel connected to Nashville International Airport. Built atop a five-story parking garage, this hotel is the tallest structure within a two-mile radius of the airport. The project presented unique challenges, but our team overcame them with precision, completing the job ahead of schedule. The grand opening was an incredible moment to celebrate the hard work and determination of everyone involved.

2. Completion of the Marriott Tri-Brand

Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Marriott Tri-Brand was another major project completed this year. This unique development included the transformation of a parking garage level into hotel rooms, requiring seamless collaboration among our pre-construction, design, and project management teams. The project was completed at year-end, marking another milestone for our company.

3. Topping Out at The Crestmoor at Green Hills

This summer, we celebrated the topping out of The Crestmoor, a 12-story high-rise spanning over 350,000 square feet. As one of the largest projects in our history, it required our team to navigate tight-site challenges in the busy Green Hills neighborhood. The structural phase’s successful completion was a testament to the skill and ingenuity of our team.

4. Building with Long-Term Partners

We’re proud of the partnerships we’ve built with clients, earning the opportunity for repeat business. This year, we completed exciting projects for repeat clients, including Feintool’s industrial expansion, Ferrari of Nashville’s service shop renovation, and The Turnip Truck in Midtown—the chain’s fourth and largest location. These partnerships reflect the trust and collaboration that define our wor

Company Achievements and Celebrations

At Crain Construction, we know that behind every project are the people who make it happen. This year, we celebrated not just the work but the achievements and contributions of our incredible team.

1. Hitting Strategic Goals

After more than 90 years of construction experience in Nashville, we remain committed to building our legacy. Over the course of the year, we achieved key strategic planning goals that ensure we remain a relationally driven company that is focused on our people and our city.

2. Recognition for Emerging Leaders

We’re passionate about investing in the next generation of construction professionals, and we celebrated two of our team members this year. Associated Builders and Contractors named Chloe Rawls and Justin Stephenson on their “Top Construction Professionals Under 40” list. Their recognition highlights the bright future of our industry and our team.

3. Embracing Innovation

At Crain Construction, we believe that everyone has a voice at the table, and we want to empower our employees to share innovative ideas. This year, our team explored new technologies, such as using drones for QA/QC work and implementing creative solutions to enhance safety. These initiatives, driven by ideas from within our team, are helping us build smarter and safer.

4. Giving Back Together

Supporting local nonprofits is part of our DNA, and giving back to our community is a year-round commitment. One of our most meaningful moments from the past year was volunteering as a team at OneGenerationAway’s food warehouse. We’re grateful to play a role in supporting their mission of distributing healthy foods to families who do not have access.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we look to the future, 2025 promises to be an exciting year. Several new projects are in the early design and pre-construction phases, setting the stage for a strong year ahead. Beyond projects, we’re committed to investing in our people and building upon the core values that define our culture.

Thank you to our clients, partners, and team members for making 2024 a year of remarkable achievements. We look forward to building on this momentum and creating even more extraordinary projects together. With a positive culture and strong team, we’re excited about what the future holds.
