Crain Construction adds project engineer

Lora Markem, Project Engineer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Commercial construction development and design veteran Lora Markem has joined Crain Construction Inc. as a project engineer.

A Dickson County native, Markem has 26 years of experience in construction project management and design development in Middle Tennessee. She holds a degree in architectural engineering technology from Nashville State Technical Institute (now known as Nashville State Community College).

“Lora knows what it takes to get a project from conception to closeout,” said Michael Rankin, president/CEO of Crain Construction. “She brings vast and valuable experience to Crain, having worked on commercial and industrial projects on both the development and construction sides. We’re delighted to have her on our team.”

Markem’s experience includes design development, project management, preconstruction, property due diligence, permitting, subcontractor coordination, value engineering, and owner/developer risk assessment and management.
