Hill Center Belle Meade Expansion

Hill Center Belle Meade Expansion

Long-standing relationships, thoughtful planning, and a shared commitment to Nashville

Project Summary

Crain Construction partnered with long-time client H.G. Hill Realty to expand Hill Center Belle Meade with two new retail shell buildings totaling 7,261 square feet. The project continued a relationship spanning decades between two companies deeply rooted in Nashville. Having originally constructed Hill Center Belle Meade in 2009, our team understood the site, the owner’s priorities, and the importance of minimizing disruption for tenants and shoppers throughout construction.

Working in the middle of an active shopping center required detailed coordination, phased construction, and close collaboration with the owner’s project manager. Despite a week-long shutdown caused by Nashville’s January 2026 ice storm, our team adapted quickly to keep the project moving and deliver a finished product that strengthens one of Nashville’s premier retail destinations.

Project Highlights

  • Expansion completed within an active shopping center with minimal disruption to tenants and customers.
  • Phased construction and traffic coordination maintained safe access throughout the project.
  • Utility work was carefully coordinated during overnight hours to limit impacts to shopping center operations.
  • The project strengthened Crain’s long-standing partnership with H.G. Hill Realty while building on a development originally constructed by Crain in 2009.
