About This Project

The 25,300-square-foot facility houses the Department of Art and the College of Engineering. The structure expands the university’s campus footprint to the north. The three-story building was constructed using green methods and materials, consisting of a wood/concrete frame, a brick veneer and storefront exterior.

Green construction methods used included: Recycled building materials; low emission sealants, paints, coatings & flooring systems; efficient use of windows and natural light & heating; efficient storm water management methods; enhanced refrigerant management; high efficiency water source heat pump system; whiteboard installation made of sustainable ‘ceramicsteel’.
