NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Crain Construction project engineer Scott Ellis has been appointed to the Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Tennessee Emerging Leaders Board of Directors as the social chair.

“Scott is smart and enthusiastic about ABC and our construction industry,” said Michael Rankin, Crain Construction president/CEO. “He will be a strong voice and great representative for young professionals in construction.”

Ellis was project engineer for the TownePlace Suites Charlotte Avenue project, which was awarded an ABC Excellence in Construction. He has also worked on two data center projects for Crain Construction.

A Middle Tennessee native, Ellis joined Crain Construction in 2019 after gaining experience with a national general contractor and a governmental water utility district where he tested, maintained, and repaired water main breaks. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction science from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

ABC Emerging Leaders is dedicated to the development of young construction industry professionals under the age of 40. Growth opportunities are provided through educational, social, and networking events.

Ellis will serve a one-year term on the board that serves Middle and East Tennessee. He also served a term on ABC’s Emerging Leaders social committee.
