24 Apr CRAIN RENOVATING LEXUS OF COOL SPRINGS FOR LONG-TIME CUSTOMER
During the 30-year relationship, Crain Construction has worked on multiple projects for Performance Automotive. The most recent project for the repeat client was a new 50,000-square-foot Rivergate Toyota completed late 2017. Crain Construction also built Lexus of Nashville in Metro Center in 2013.
Designed by H. Michael Hindman Architects, P.C., the renovation includes a new roof for the service area and a small addition to the sales and office areas, bringing the total building area to 27,555 square feet.
The service center at Lexus of Cool Springs, 1636 Westgate Circle in Brentwood, will remain open during the renovation project. Sales, customer service and support teams have temporarily relocated to the dealership’s nearby certified pre-owned building and sales lot.
“We are expanding the reception area to include a new technology center, rearranging the customer lounge and adding a new car delivery area,” said Jeff Kurzhal, Crain Construction project manager.
According to Kurzhal, the building exterior will be modernized with tall glass windows surrounding the show room and new Aluminum Composite Panel (ACM) cladding. All other support, sales and finance offices are also getting a facelift with new finishes.
The renovated dealership will also include a Lexus Technology Center, a showroom for the innovative and advanced technology available with vehicles. This interactive technology center will be equipped with iPads and monitors so sales personnel and technology specialists can help trouble-shoot tech problems for existing car owners and demonstrate the innovative options for new car buyers.
Demolition started April 20 on Lexus of Cool Springs and the project is expected to be finished this Fall.
