21 Jun CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON PARRISH CORNER OFFICE BUILDING IN HENDERSONVILLE
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — Crain Construction Inc. has broken ground and is building Parrish Corner, a one-story, 20,171-square-foot office building in Hendersonville, Tenn.
Designed by STG Design, the project is located at 410 N. Parrish Place near the popular retail area just off Indian Lake Boulevard.
“It’s a one-story building with a corner presence so we’ve used different facades and heights to add interest,” said Chad Jones, STG Design architect. “We’re using the lobby as a vertical element with clearstory windows to connect the two wings and create a lighthouse effect.”
The conventional steel-frame structure will feature a brick and stone exterior of warm earth tones and an attractive canopy-covered drop off area at the entrance. Large windows, 20-30 feet in some areas, will provide visibility both in and out of the building. A high parapet will screen the mechanical units on the roof.
“We pulled from the natural elements in the area like the river and tree canopies to drive the interior look,” said Jones. “We’re using earthy tones with stained concrete in some lobby areas and a wood look throughout the suites. We’ve also incorporated pattern, movement and way finding in sophisticated shapes, bends and turns like the river.”
General contractor Crain Construction expects to complete the office building the end of 2017.
